Our lead watchmaker brings fifteen years of hands-on experience with mechanical calibres. That experience was built through work on a wide range of movements — from standard ETA and Miyota calibres to older Swiss and Japanese pieces that require a different depth of knowledge.
Each repair is carried out with the watchmaker's own tools and under their direct attention. There is no handoff to a less experienced technician once a watch has been accepted for service.

Mechanical watch servicing depends as much on the quality and suitability of tools as on the skill of the person holding them. At Jam Permata, we use a calibrating machine for timing verification, ultrasonic cleaning equipment for movement components, and appropriate tools for movement removal and case work across different watch sizes and types.
Lubricants are graded correctly for each part of the movement — the mainspring, the train pivots, the pallet fork, and the keyless works each require different viscosities, and using the wrong grade is a common cause of early servicing issues in lower-quality repair work.

Our vintage assessment is a standalone service. You receive a detailed written view of your watch's condition without any obligation to proceed with repair work. Few workshops offer this as a discrete, fully documented service.
Timing results included in every overhaul
After a full overhaul, the calibrating machine rate readings — amplitude, beat error, rate across positions — are included in the service summary. You leave with measurable data about your watch's performance, not just a general statement.
One watchmaker throughout
Your watch is examined, serviced, and returned by the same person. There is no internal handoff, and the person who assessed the movement is the same person who reassembled it. Continuity of attention matters when working with small, interdependent components.
